Chesapeake is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chesapeake follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We were rushed by the Marshall saying we needed to stay with the group in front of us even though we were playing ahead of the normal time of pace. Allegedly, we were 2 holes behind. "You can stay with the same pace but stay with the group ahead of you". Okay well clearly we can't do both. We had 4, the group ahead started with 2, and the group behind us had 3 and were near professional and also picking up. He also said depending on the group, some can play the course in 3 hours. Again, clearly we aren't falling into that category of players. The time of play on their scorecard also says 4 hours. Quite interesting to read other reviews about how rude the staff is. Not shocking. We stopped keeping our scores and started picking up balls. Completely ruined the fun of it. Will not be back. Ridiculous.

It's a wide fairway course for most holes, with water coming into play on several holes. Overall, the course is in good shape. The greens were challenging due to recent aeration (?). FYI, they do not have a restaurant nor liquor sales on-site. Staff is friendly. It was a nice course for our family scramble. We will consider it again next year during the VB family vacation.

0602/26 I played a best ball here a couple weeks ago. They do not have a club house really. Portable bathrooms also. The course has zero shade so be aware if you play in the dog days Fun though, and in good shape. I would play spring or fall. Personal choice though. I am a big guy so I would look like I came out of a pool if I played during July or August. Really fun holes.

Friendly staff and the course was in great condition all winter long. Best Bangalore for your buck in the area outside of military courses if you have access. Brand new carts also make the experience better. Sometimes the jets are loud in the evening, but I just pretend it's a crowd screaming my name.

I took my wife here for her first golf outing. It is her birthday so she wanted to get into golf. We arrived later than normal for our 10AM tee time (and by late I mean we were on the box at 10 instead of early). The starter decided off the rip to be a dick because they started the person they paired us early. We started the hole and, with my wife being new, it took a couple hits to get midway up the fairway. At that time we were approached again by the starter to hurry up and told us to pick up the ball and move on. I've played in courses across the world and never had such a rude start. I understand pace of play but we were not being detrimental to the people behind us during this time. At the turn, the ranger approached us and asked politely if the 3 set behind us could play through. I agreed so we could focus on her hitting but we were then running into them. Other than that, the greens were terrible; the other pin locations weren't even filled in and flat. Sand and rocks all over the course and greens. The course is not set very well or clear for direction of shooting. The tee boxes were not aligned with fairways or holes so you had to guess at some points where to hi
